Other Information
A WhatsApp group will be made so all the parents are updated daily on the activities and pictures will be sent of all the children. The Instagram and Facebook stories are also updated daily with images of the children, providing we have parental consent.
We guarantee that all staff are trained in first aid and are equipped with a full first aid kit. However, we remind parents that during the children’s time at Camp Marmot their time will be predominantly spent outdoors, so it is not possible for insect bites, small wounds from falling and similar small incidents,
that you would expect from children being outdoors, to be avoided.
In cases of more serious injuries, when doctors or hospital services need to intervene, parents will be contacted immediately. Parents will also be contacted in the case of head injuries.
If parents need to contact their child in the case of an emergency, they can do so via the camp director, Laura. She will pass messages on to the camp manager and ask them to contact parents.

Camp Marmot promotes a friendly, fun and happy environment. We
therefore do not tolerate any bullying or rude behaviour towards other children or the staff. Staff will always demonstrate and encourage good behaviour, while understanding that mistakes can be made and poor behaviour exists. When good behaviour is demonstrated it will be rewarded by having a fun week and participating in all activities, unacceptable behaviour will be discussed with the child away from the group, staff will
never humiliate the child in front of peers. Sanctions will include clear communication, if poor behaviour continues through the week parents will be spoken to at the end of the day. In extreme cases parents will be contacted during the week and asked to collect their child.
We look forward to seeing you all this summer!
